Occurs to me that what may be common knowledge or seem simple to me, may not be the case to others due to what we've experienced or just due to our various knowledges. So I thought it would be useful to put together a list of tips. Add any hints and tips and I'll add them to the first post.
DORA - What those who can see gates and use them have been referred to. Unknown to me if this an acronym or a reference to Dora the Explorer. The term was not created by our group.
Realms - a term that is used to refer to the different places of existence we travel to. Other terms used are Zones, dimensions, shadows
Keeping magic items - if you find a magic item you wish to keep and not have the fates whisk it away, head to Burlington and obtain some Ovaltine Decoder rings as these a magic rings. Go to the Super Duper Mart, get some Ovaltine and take the coupons to the Post Office there. The Postmaster can help you fill them out and will send them off. Go back to the post office the next day and there will be a package with the decoder rings there.
keeping a magic tome - if you find a magic tome you wish to keep and not have the fates whisk it away,I have a pile of King in Yellow scripts at the mansion in Red Carpet. Due to the nature of the play, these are considered tomes. Grab a couple. (if you do, let me know so I can keep track of how many are left)
When you are looking at buying something don't just consider the stores in the realm you are in. It may be easier/cheaper to hope to another zone and get it there. You may also get a better quality item in another realm.
If you are badly injured and do not want to wait several days to heal up, travel to Red Carpet for a few minutes.
Fixing a disabled Clems - Check the Barber's pole. It may have been turned upside down. Remove it and place it the right way up. If Clem has been killed or the shop taken enough damage to stop it from regenerating, remove the Barber's pole and place it upside down, then remove it and place it right way again seems to do a reset/reboot.
