Doesn't that place need to be rebuilt now too? Any rough projections on how much cash required to have it restored? Anyone know how many Sq feet does it have? Maybe we can use it as a money maker and a base of sorts. Build out a really secure basement with some storerooms and workspace that only the DORAs can access, and then some money making venture above. My take on it was, it was actually pretty prime real estate, because it's an 'island' of sorts, surrounded on all sides by streets, good visibility from all directions... maybe a bar or nightclub. Doc Yang came up with the idea, which I think is worth investigating, turning it into an Officers Club (with maybe some rooms to rent short term/long term). We can modify the building so that our private area is separate from the club which will prevent people accidentally wandering in (OOC: If anyone wants to do a map of the new layout, be it a bubble map or floorplan, Logan will be happy). I've authorised Foxy at the Embassy to release 1100g of my personal funds to yourself Raslen & Freddy to finalise the purchase, paperwork etc. We took 400g over as a down payment, so 1028g is remaining to be paid. The additional funds are to assist with getting the ball rolling and whatever else needs doing in relation to the White Dove & Gothic. The receipt for the 400g is at the embassy. I've had mention to me that there are several vehicles there. There may be other items stored at the location, so part of the contract of sale should include everything located on the land I'm thinking. An audit after this may be worth doing to see if there was anything left behind we wish to put somewhere out of the eyes of builders etc. The fact there were vehicles left behind makes me think they left in a hurry and there may be other things of interest to us, eg weapons, paper work etc. I understand the the butler was tortured to death by the occupiers so it may be worth looking into what happened to the other staff and looking into if the current government has setup a compensation scheme for those people and families that suffered/were tortured etc under the previous regime. If George who was the caretaker/foreman is still around and willing to work for us again, he would be worth employing as he was a top of the line foreman. In regards to upgrading the White Dove, it can be done in stages or "levels" with each stage/level costing 10,000s and improving condition of the White Dove. Level 5 would make it a stone building with high quality crafting stations, fire proofed area etc (this may have changed due to the current situation. An inspection should enlighten you). In regards to getting access to the funds in the bank, you will need some new ID. Talk to Hunt's people about helping you arrange this if you don't have one already. And what may be involved in others of our group getting new ID. Some of us have the old ID, some have no ID.

Thank you for explaining all that, Joshua. I should add: I believe The White Dove is currently at "stage 2".

Right, we closed on the White Dove and ensured our contract included all the fixtures, equipment, and other assets on the land, and under... anyone feel like digging for gold or building an underground lair, now's the time to plan for it.
We sold the cars, except for 1 of the flying cars so Freddy could take us for a spin. Since the Crys batteries were active and draining daily and the place is about to become a construction zone, didn't make sense to keep em. The remaining flying car ol Freddy flew like a real champ! But that's a whole other story...
Hired a construction contractor, *name, address*. Securing holes in the walls and installing new doors, so we finalize our plans for remodeling. The place is real shit house currently. For 750 gold, we can do a "lvl 5" conversion. It will basically be a rip down and rebuild. A fair dinkum stone fortress that's finished very upscale, suitable for a high end club. That price doesn't include the basement or any unusual modifications we'd likely want to make. And I promised Mildred that the basement and all it's toys are hers currently, until we build her a suitable "play room".
Biggest downside: There's no parking at all, but downtown places like this usually provide valet service, plus some of the clientele we're aiming to attract usually just have their drivers drop them off for a bit. Something we'll just have to factor in to see if it makes sense.
We should also consider changing the name. Since a lot of people associate the place with the prior administration, it's a target for fuckery. A mob of angry blokes were there with torches about to burn it down right after the closing. After a little chat, they decided to piss off. But they may be back, those little fucks... I don't know if there is historical significance in the name or not, but changing the name is an opportunity to build goodwill. Just a thought.
Other things -
Joshua, I had sweet Foxy put a little over 200 gold back in your safe. I'd like to get that sheila to purr, mate - you know if she likes catnip?
Also, I've got the paperwork n all on me currently. I'll just have Foxy put that in the safe too next time I'm at the Embassy.
Didn't look into the compensation scheme or George yet.
Chime in if I'm forgettin something, Freddy.

Could look into the background of Lady Rittenhouse (Melwix or Beastkin could be good places to do so) and rename it something linked with her.

If we go down the Officers Club route, depending on their availability in Gothic, could look at "importing" luxury items such as chocolate, cigars, caviar and certain types of alcohol.

I vote we rename it from The White Dove to The Black Swan.

I like where you're going with this, mate! I concur. And don't even try to pretend like that's not the kind of wattle you were talking about.

We installed a lock. Dana says the combination has something to do with a novel about Big Brother.
