Name: Ignore this thing
Casting time: 1 minute Range: Touch Duration: Sunrise/sunset MP cost: 6mp
Description: Causes a single thing (up to 1m cubed) to be ignored. If the person/creature/entity is not searching for it, they are at a -60% to notice it (through whatever skill). If they are actively seeking that thing the negative is only -30%. This can only be used on a single inanimate object though you can put other things (including living beings) inside of it. Example: A PC brings in a box into the enemy fortress and is wandering around. The alarm is sounded - people are looking for him. He has only a couple minutes. He assembles and gets into the box and casts the spell. If the guards are looking for anywhere someone would be hiding, they are at a -30% to find the box and the PC inside. If the guards were not alerted to the fact that intruders were in the base and wandered into the room where there was some strange box sitting, they would be at -60%. Entities (including PC's) who don't notice the object will wander around it, perhaps set their coffee on top of it, sit on it while having a conversation, etc - they just won't attach any importance to it nor wonder what is inside.

Possible trees - light? Disorientation?

I like it, I think the cost is steep... 4mp max... I'd say disorientation... light IMO would be more like bending light around it... camo... minor spell to predator camo...

The reason I went with 6 is because this is potentially very powerful - many NPC's have around a 30% spot hidden...

however, very situational... but I feel you.
what about 4mp for an hour then an advanced version 6mp day- and 3m cube?

Possible but honestly saving two MP for a lot less time - eh. I wanted to keep it at a small 1m cube so that we don't go crazy.

I'd like to have people ignore my flying car for a day though

That's a good point there. Maybe a higher level offshoot. But a car is like 10m squared or something? How many 1m boxes to completely encapsulate a large car? (Always go with large - PC's plus lots of camping shit plus lots of food and water so they don't die.)

3m is just under 10ft so if you say a 3m cube you could fit a car in there ifyou can modify the space or call it truck sized item?

You saying a car is only 3 feet - 1m wide?

3m cubed would be 9.8 ft by 9.8ft

That should work. So that can be a harder one on the same branch.

(ADDED another line to the end after some more thought)
Next spell up - same but 3m cubed (up to roughly a 10' block).

I'm assuming this only works on "living" things? I.e. it won't fool a robot sentry patrol unit? Or?

It won't fool undead, constructs, wolves, etc. who have other ways of finding strange and new things.

This spell should probably be called SEP Field
Also modern cars are more like 5m long. A subcompact might be 3.5m. No idea if gothic magitek flying cars would be bigger or smaller.
