Some of the people in Kinleyville wanted some ice torcs, so we gave them around 15 (because for some reason they multiplied? What). Later when we came back, there were more people there going through them trying to take some and we told them no, you need to pay. They refused and we just told them to fuck off essentially. Anyway – it appears they are no longer showing the same level of respect that they used to. We may need to either secure the house a bit more or stop storing sensitive items like that in it. I suggest taking them to a magic null zone such as Alien Postapocalypse and storing them there until we figure out what to do with them.
Another thing that crossed my mind is that if too many people get their hands on them, this could turn into a giant problem as the entity who "controls" the torcs will essentially have control over the population unless they want their heads to get blown off. I can easily see this spiralling out of control. It only occurred to me after we gave them a few. So, again, I highly suggest we move them someplace else and potentially figure out a way of getting them off without doing harm.

Didn't realise anyone of us actually put those dreaded things on. Sigh. Who all of us is wearing one? Mind you we had to step out for a few weeks after our latest visit at the house – they may have come back and taken even more without our permission.

“This is potentially a very serious problem that needs to be addressed immediately. The ice elementals and ice creatures in the second level were all hive minded. If this entity is able to assert such a power over those wearing a Torc, it might have more control than we initially thought... Also, if the Torc wearers can communicate between themselves, what’s to say this entity cannot do likewise, or worse, read minds of wearers? see and hear what the wearers do?”

Dana and I got our torcs off and destroyed them. We might want to trump some siege weapons up into the mountains and destroy the ice tower from a distance.

How did you get them off? Also, why from a distance? Did you not manage to go there when you got them originally? Have things changed?

it was rough. ranged attacking ice creatures. then the weapons can freeze you. and they do good dmg. then once past all that... what to do about the orb... and what if the orb hasn't tried to really retaliate yet? now it has minions... IE- the ice torc idiots...

Sounds pretty rough. Any possibility of utilising the flying car to launch firebombs or something along those lines?

Perhaps a small nuclear bomb. If you need a nuke, I can get you a nuke.

That gave me an idea. I wonder if we can charge those strange Crys with unstable magical energy and then just drop them on the ice tower. Magic Nuke.

The ice tower is still standing. Its immediate threat seemed to be that it was controlling "normies" wearing the torcs into attacking Kinelyville. Joshua, Glenn, and I check in with Darius there who is saying how the class conflict has increased a lot and that the torcs don't seem to be controlling them, but rather giving them enough power to have hope in a social upheaval attempt. Buildings are getting burned, but the torc wearers have their faces obscured with ice at will and then melt back into the crowd. They also nailed a list of demands to the door which Darius wasn't keen on, because it called for baby steps into democracy that where I come from would have already been given. We advised that he should meet the demands and he agreed along with the idea of original settlers moving out for a long while. He wants to go to a different realm (not just down the road, Burlyton gets visited by MMO a lot) and live in safety and comfort (no dino jungles or Canada) and keep the group together (goblins and elves must be accepted). So we were like, ugh don't know where that would be, yet, but get out of there, please. Ice tower not visited itself, mostly because threat seemed to be misunderstood for now, and frankly we didn't have the skills to try nuking or like the risks for a sneak. I'm also a big fan of not just killing the "torcies?" especially since it's so insidious we'd just end up witch hunting for eternity because, oh yeah, they don't really die anyway. So we left it as Kinleyville being now governed by ice torc powered normies who aren't a current threat, but do want respect.

So Darius and Claire have left? What about the other DORAs? We could send them back to Cyberpunk in Hong Kong. They are originally from there anyway, plus the trouble that they were originally in was in Night City in USA. This is a completely separate continent that they would be on. Gothic is also another option maybe.

No, they are waiting on us (actually McKay specifically, but whatever) to notify them of a suitable place.
They are convinced that they would still have that trouble anywhere in Cyberpunk.
Gothic was considered and dismissed because it would not be safe for their elf population and they want to stay together.
...
Of the zones we have available, I still think Canada is the best bet (in a "yes, this is harsh, but we can make it work since it is only temporary" type way.) This is assuming that at least some of the buildings in the miner town are still standing and the massive stockpiles of firewood are still there. And that they can handle their own supply runs through gates to Burlington and/or Smurf Village as needed.
However, I also have a feeling that we will discover more realms.

There is also Dino Land as well. The large former battleground between the agents and Zog's Army is vacant of any dinosaurs, but obviously they would need to rebuild everything. The plus side is that there is a gate to Burlington through one of the mountains, though it's a bit of a pain to get to. I'm sure they/we can make getting to it a bit easier. Just another idea as to where they can go.
Also, what elf population are you referring to?
