Freddy, Doc Yang & myself had our DNA tested in Cyberpunk Hong Kong
- We are first cousins. - we have Alien/synthetic DNA strands
The report will be left at the Embassy if anyone with appropriate knowledge wishes to see if more can be learnt from the results.

Are you still occupying Obed's body too? Interesting to see how the DNA changed as well...

The scientists there were quite interested in studying us further. It seemed they were willing to do a fair bit for the opportunity, but we told them we would think about it and get back to them. This could potentially be worth quite a lot of money if we were willing to let ourselves be studied. Given that this is a fairly futuristic zone with lots of high-level technology, there may be risks involved (in terms of what they could potentially do with this information), or there may not.
Does anyone have any objections in allowing the scientists to further study us if we were to gain a substantial amount from it? Obviously, we would do our best to secure a nondisclosure agreement of some sort on top of the promise that our DNA would not be used for anything outside of testing without our consent.

Did they give any indication of how much money they were willing to pay?
I'd say if you move forward with it just make sure the names and locations of where these scientists operate from are known to the other Dora's, so we can pick up the trail if you blokes go missing and end up in a large hamster cage or something...

I'm just glad the results weren't - "Hi, I'm Larry, this is my brother Darryl, and this is my other brother Darryl"

No actual figures were discussed, but they seemed awfully keen. I mentioned something about a "clean room" to Joshua (I needed one. Still kind of do, but too expensive) and they overheard me, seeming quite interested in allowing us to use it. The standard cleanroom that I found online costs around HK$8000 per hour and I needed one for possibly up to 2 days, which would be approximately HK$160,000. To give you a rough idea of how much that is: a big Mac is worth HK$70, a monofilament sword is worth HK$5000, a "standard/medium" translation earpiece is worth HK$5000, and a pair of VR glasses is worth HK$4000. I should also add that things are much more expensive if you don't have ID, assuming you are able to find someone willing to do business with you if you don't have one. It may be worth investing in some top of the range fake IDs. I believe Doc Fulton paid around $70,000 (in Night City, USA) for his false ID back in the day. I do not know what the price would be in Hong Kong. Also, a crappy smelly hotel charges around HK$2500 for 3 people without ID per day, opposed to only HK$400 if you have ID.

I don't know, mate, seems like anyone who strikes a deal to be studied by some scientists, who already think you're part alien, is putting themselves in a highly vulnerable position, you better have a very clear contingency plan for a rescue. Let alone the chances they start cloning you or worse...
If you go forward with it, give them Scientists this tip: if they're going to put your brain in a jar, why not add some lemon for freshness!

They didn't exactly say what kind of tests they were wanting to perform, so I don't know about any cages or whatnot. But yeah – the offer is out there.

We took the DNA testing to the next stage - some background folk (the Cooks in Burlington) and some Doras that were background folk - Darius & Claire from MMOland. Darius and Claire were concerned about their DNA getting into the hands of a private company due to their DNA possibly already being on file (as to if they have the same DNA as they did when in Night City is debatable).
Abiding by their wishes we did not do the testing at a clinic. Instead we bought a high end home DNA testing kit called "Are you my daddy DNA testing kit". This kit gives a positive or negative result. With a positive occurring out to second cousin.
Darius and Claire came out as positive matches to myself, Glenn and Dana. The Cooks came up as negative.
The DNA tester is currently in the Embassy. If you wish to use it take it to a tech friendly location. It worked ok in Burlington. We just did it behind closed doors, out of site of the background folk.
Whether someone with medical and or programming knowledge can modify the kit to give better/more detailed results remains to be seen.
We also consulted with a Psychic, Spencer at the village of Santa Clause in Gothic. He advised that we (Glenn, Dana & myself) were related and Merlin is our grandfather, firming up what we were starting to suspect and believe.

So that would mean we are great grandchildren of Corwin, who is Merlin's father & King Random's brother and possibly great great (great?) grand-children of Benedict, another of Random's and Corwin's brothers.
