It's another one of those "If you might want it, NOW is the time to think about it because otherwise you probably won't get it later" exercises.
Forget normal 'make me better in combat' magic items.
What sort of 'practical, every day' magic items would your character seek out?
Examples: Water skin that refills itself once per day. Food sack does same. Hat that deflects rain, like an umbrella.
What other sorts of those sorts of magic items would people be interested in?
Make a list.

Kangaroo Suit: This complete kangaroo suit (it even has a pouch) allows the wearer to jump up to 3m vertically and up to 15m horizontally with a running start. If you land on your feet from a jump in this suit, provided you haven't fallen more than 3m, you do not take any fall damage.
Food Pen: This Crys-powered pen allows the user to create simple meals by writing the recipe down on a piece of paper. Spend 10 min writing it down and then make a Cooking roll. On a success, the paper transforms into the meal that was written down. On a fail, the paper turns into rotten food. The pen has 10 charges per Crys.
Population Compass: This compass always points to the largest grouping of human-sized creatures or larger within 20km (minimum of 10 creatures for this to work). If there are none, it spins around uncontrollably.
Ring of Elements: While wearing this ring, you have a +5% bonus to cast spells of an elemental school of your choice. It takes 1 day to change the bonus to a different element and during that time the ring offers no bonuses.
Shovel of Secrets: If you dig into the ground with this shovel once and there is something "unnatural" (doesn't grow or occur there naturally, GM's discretion) buried within a 100m radius of the spot, the shovel emits an audible "shhh!"
Squeaky Shoes of Running: These loud, squeaky shoes allow you to move at 5m/round and sprint at 15/m round. You may sound like a clown, but you'll be a fast clown. While wearing these shoes, you have a -60%/Quarter penalty to Stealth rolls where being heard is of consequence.

Yes I realise they may not be "everyday" items but I figured I would post my ideas anyway in case you wanted to use any of them

Crafting tools that give a bonus to making stuff and/or make masterpiece stuff. Something like the coconuts of travelling Door wedge that stops a door from being opened or battered down Alarm bell that warns if anything threatening comes within x metres of the camp Silent version of above that wakes the group up Bracelet or ring that warns the user if there is something threatening towards the wearer A multi use ‘match’ A trap that attracts prey for wilderness survival A pipe that never runs out of the tobacco placed within and smoked A paint brush that does not require paints A canteen that refills enough for three people a day in desert conditions A clothes brush that tidied up your clothes and shoes, removing stains and smells, repairing small rips etc

Added more to my list throughout the day:
1. Any kind of magic didgeridoo. 2. Ear muffs that dampen the screams of others. (Doc Fulton) 3. A prank wearable flower that squirts water, but actually acts as a 1x day fire extinguisher. (Freddy). 4. Pocket square that can absorb 5 gallons of liquid. 5. A garment bag that folds to the size of a wallet. Holds one set of clothing and shoes. 6. A pen with ink that disappears an hour after written. 7. A pocket protector that holds an obscene amount of writing utensils. 8. Never ending rolling papers and matchbook. 9. A comb that cleans your appearance and presses your clothes. 10. Flask that refills with booze. 11. A belt that stretches and can be used as 20' of rope. 12. 1x per session bottle of pepto-bismol that reduces one point from a San loss roll. 13. A sport coat/blazer that can change color/appearance 1x day. 14. A depressed, sentient sniper rifle, or other weapon, that requires a successful psychology or leadership roll to use. 15. A cane that counts your steps, and converts them to meters. 16. Pocket size business card case, that refills/creates duplicate cards once per day.

Portable electrical outlet. Batteries that never run out of juice. A magnet that acts as a tracking beacon. A Route 66 bumper sticker that refills a vehicle's fuel tank 1/day. Chameleon Circuit: disguises a vehicle as a 1960s style British police box. Clothing that looks normal, but functions as cold weather gear. An address book that after you write in someone's name, automatically divines all of their contact info. Psychic paper: shows an NPC whatever document/credential they are expecting to see. Encyclopedia Galactica: conduct library research anywhere. Universal Superphone: compatible with all phone/internet networks.

Shoes that allow you to run on water, but if you stop running while on the water, you sink. A self-digging shovel. A self-brooming broom. A 1L jar of condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, etc) that refills itself once a day with whatever you set it to. A shirt/clothing that never gets dirty.

Wow - between these lists and the ones on the FB, it will be awhile before I can merge those lists. Not sure what percentage of what I've seen will be considered 'useful enough to buy for $10,000 or more' but that might be an interesting project for someone who has some extra time.

A mechanical messenger owl that has a range of 10km as the crow flies and can only shout your message (of 20 words or less) at the top of its lungs. A tiny, replica magical punt that can grow to full size and travel 15km on still-to-moderately-wavy water before reverting back to a model. An inflatable balloon that lights up and will rise into the sky and remain stationary as a fixed reference point. A stone dog with an endless supply of terrain-appropriate footwear that it can bring to you when asked. Good boy, Rocky! A cloak that automatically changes insulation level to protect from the elements in any climate, or in a reasonable range of climate. An endless syringe of ketamine.

Mentats. Temporarily raise your learn to 20 for a single task. $10,000 a pop. May be addictive. A magic rock that can be thrown to distract, but will make any noise you choose (but not language). An interdimensional clock that can be set in a room in one shadow, but will sound an alarm in any other shadow at the specified time of the shadow it is placed in. A mask of resting bitch face that gives you +10 to Intimidate.

A magic lightning rod that, when held aloft (that's your action for the round), can mitigate damage taken from a lightning strike. A glowing coal that does the same for fire. Other things that do the same for other elements. A lodestone for earth, perhaps. A tiny snow globe for cold.
Must be posed with dramatically or it doesn't work.

Who wants to accumulate all of these into one list and
a) put all of the ones a PC wouldn't pay $10,000 (modern equiv money) for in a different list b) put all of the ones that everyone knows Logan will say "LOL, no"
To just leave me with a list of stuff PC's might actually buy for $10,000+++ and use?
(If left to my own devices, it will be gotten to when it's gotten to but I'm still in the early stages of 'design world', I've not yet gotten to 'figure out plots within this world'.
To say nothing of the other two I'd like to design (for three total). And then, go back to 'old' zones and work in some more plots there. And make a little Amber shit. And then make some more shit.
Can anyone assist?
