I vaguely recall Logan saying he doesn't like "things made out of nothing". I think it was when the Create Water spell was suggested. What if we changed this to "the spell cooks the ingredients present, requiring no utensils or appliances" or something along those lines? That way you still need at least something to make your food. It could still be technically used on anything that can be feasibly cooked into food, so the versatility is still there. Maybe include a Cooking roll as well.

I'm not a big fan of something out of nothing spells, tist true. It's a short way to 'fuck it, lets make magic gold and shit'.

Temporary creation is less troublesome. The question is: should you be able to get real nourishment from a temporary substance?

On the other hand, the spell uses the word "summon" instead of "create". This implies that it is real food that is disappearing from nearby sources and appearing in front of you. So you could add that the spell fails if there is no food stored within a certain radius. Say 5km?

What if you use this as a way of getting food you have already prepared in another place? Example, you have a kitchen in which you have prepared 10 sandwiches. You cast the spell once and "bind" those 10 sandwiches, then you can cast the spell again to "summon" 1 or more of those sandwiches to your location. It's basically a food teleportation spell.
