Should get Alex to deal with the ice tower with his magic nuke (aka the dwarven hammer)

Alex seems to have forsaken MMO Land. Think we'll need to get him a couple strong drinks to get him to go back there.

It is not without risks. I don't think the danger is to Burlington though. I don't see the cold coming up the shaft, but dumping water down there will have consequences. I don't think we care about Canada, except as access to Amber, Smurf Village, and Dino Land.
I foresee the water flowing down the chasm and draining into Dino Land. (If/when the flow stops, then we have to deal with that shaft/tunnel/chasm being plugged with ice.) Dino Land is also one of the smaller zones like Burlington too though. So it could potentially flood in a similar manner...up to the height of the lowest other gate. (I think there's only 3 gates, and one of them is one-way, that means Dino Land would flood up to the level of the gate way up high behind the one waterfall.) That's probably several meters of water, so Dino Land would be completely ruined. And where does that gate go? Ruins of Night City? That would probably be bad.
If the painting isn't at stake anymore then it probably isn't worth it. Maybe just look into making the rain stop or resetting the zone.

Burlington is roughly shin-deep with water now. As soon as we can get the painting out, we'll see what we can do to restore the zone. Other than calling the MIBs or trying to "negotiate" with the mysterious wizard in MMO Land who closed the gate, I don't have any other possible solutions.
I'm not even sure opening the hatch would solve the flooding. It might only slow down the progression.

Put the 'coffin' on it's side in the water. It will all disappear into the void.
Also there is the gate in the bank vault (one way unless the other side is opened). Is water flowing through that? Has the gate disappeared? Is it still being guarded by the deputies?

By coffin I assume you mean the large (now red) box? When I went to check it out, it seems to be stuck to the floor somehow. Didn't get a chance to do a thorough investigation but getting it out might be tricky. Worth a shot either way.
Have not been in the bank for a while. All the people are still going about their day-to-day lives as if nothing's wrong, so I can only assume that the guards are still there and that the vault is still closed. Not sure about the gate. If it is still open, what are you thinking?

The water was leaving Burlington and going to MMO land via a gate. So if the bank vault is open (which they did every morning) then the water could possibly flow through the gate in the vault and drain down. This may not work however as not all gates are visible/able to be interacted with except by DORAs. eg there was a gate in Cyberpunk Night City that went to Bug City world and you came out under water. Only DORAS could see/use this. The Ocean was not flowing through that gate. Just as only DORAS can move worlds at Clems with our current code phrase (as an aside, maybe there is a different code phrase that could be used with Clem to move non DORAs)
Could also try experimenting with the clock in the B&B, turning back time..

Could also try experimenting with the clock in the B&B, turning back time.. Yes. I wanted to look into that, but I need some more information on how it works. Didn't want to just go fiddle with it. Anything to look out for, what not to do, etc. I know you absolutely shouldn't move the clock anywhere (learned that the hard way) but I don't know the specifics of what will happen if you simply turned the time forward/back. In any event, I think it's definitely an area to look into. MIBs will be our last resort.

MMO Land Update:
The ice tower appears to be partially demolished, as if something exploded from the top of the tower going outwards. Debris outside of it. Flew around it a bit. Saw approximately 20-30 minor ice elementals guarding the outside and inside. Inside there was a closed ice treasure chest and some sort of pillar in the middle. We did not see any sign of the Orb. It may be further in – we do not know. Perhaps it exploded.
The Naughty Shamrock 2, the one used by the mages in their search for the source of magic, is now owned by a group of Dryders after they bought it from Slangar, a Dryder from the government in Needleweb, who got it after the mages landed in Needleweb and started attacking/killing people after losing their minds. They were arrested. He sold the ship at an auction as well as the mages. The mages (all 37, including the crew) were bought by the Snowshield Clan and are believed to still be alive.
Birdmen: several of them were being slaughtered by the ITWs. There were roughly 20 assailants and only 5 birdmen warriors defending women and children. Likely dead now. Several dead bodies scattered around where they live.
Snowshield Clan Dwarf Entrance: To the entrance, written in English: all enemies of the Snowshield Clan are welcome to enter. And die. Written in dwarvish runes: Fuck you, human scum.
Quite hot. Steam coming from within as well as droplets of water. Door is quite hot. I believe Colburn managed to get in briefly but was not overly elaborate on what he found. Could someone who was with him explain what they saw?
Kinleyville: Half of it appears to be burnt down and the city is now much smaller.

The Orb was on the pillar when we visited. Odd that the elementals would still be guarding the place if the Orb left or was destroyed.

Snowshield clan - the way through to their city has been cleared (Doc Fulton, Colburn & myself). The city (where we entered) appears to be deserted, things packed up. There were the sounds of hammers hitting anvils in the distance.
Feel free to return any cannonballs found to the embassy.
Demolished entrance had 6 doors off large room. Only one was the way forward, the rest were traps/decoys. The stone golems and chlorine type gas should all be destroyed/disabled.
The room with a couple of old leather armour and a chute going down on an angle is the correct way forward. The chute has oil/grease dripping into it. There is climbing rope we set up going down, so using desender/ascender can control your movement down and back up. Be careful of metal objects scrapping the chute or you may cause sparks and hence set it alight. Do not wear a backpack in the chute (or other shafts you need to climb later) or you may get stuck. Lower them down first.
Climb up the wall and under the metal sheet (sort of like a roller door to stop the smoke going into the next tunnel).
The mechanisms in the next room we think were for fire suppressant. Climb down chute (has ladder rungs. Remove backpacks etc as chute not very big).
Step over dead beasts in next room and there will be another hole/shaft, with the dwarfhole cover open. Below is the city.
Re the Sphere in the Ice Tower. I'm wondering if it was a prison or some sort of cryo/healing object. Once there were enough individuals with torcs, linked to the occupant (the mage that sealed the portal between MMOLand & Burlington perhaps?), the occupant could escape/leave. To deal with the torc wearers we need to deal with the 'head' ie who/whatever was in the sphere. That's my speculation on it anyway.

I like the theory that the mage is what came out of the sphere/tower. Would make sense. Not sure why he's so angry at us in particular (maybe because we didn't free him). Finding and either stopping him or allying ourselves with him would be a priority if we want to stabilise MMO Land.

I Clem's'd into Burlington with SCUBA gear. It is completely underwater all the way to the "ceiling". In other words, there is no surface, no air. Everyone has morphed into sea monkeys. The buildings are now pink "castles". I took a barber pole and reset the Clem's while I was there. Nothing seemed dangerous other than needing SCUBA gear or gills. The grandfather clock is still there but "ghostly". There is nothing special where the water spout was.

BE AWARE: Burlington appears to be an anti-magic zone now. If you have anything pocketed and you go there, it will disappear. We took the barbershop pole back to the embassy.

Also, magic cast in Gothic SA triggers a zone anomaly for anyone watching and brings down the MiB. Gothic has become quite apocalyptic. Those poor people had the laws of physics taken out from underneath them, and now their magic is working intermittently. This will almost certainly lead to social instability. Be careful when visiting Gothic.
