May want to also specify whether it's "words only" or if you can also impart images and sounds as part of your communication.

I can see this opening the door to 'bad shit'. Also, completely silent communication. There is something like that in the Amber powers but it is pretty high level.

A variety of different ways - trying to push it to get more into their heads, amplifying it, etc. I'm staying well clear of anything like that.

You could have it work like the D&D spell "Sending".
Direct copy/paste:
You send a short message of twenty-five words or less to a creature with which you are familiar. The creature hears the message in its mind, recognizes you as the sender if it knows you, and can answer in a like manner immediately. The spell enables creatures with Intelligence scores of at least 1 to understand the meaning of your message.
You can send the message across any distance and even to other planes of existence, but if the target is on a different plane than you, there is a 5 percent chance that the message doesn't arrive.
Obviously we can change it to suit this campaign, but you get the gist. Can make it a 2 MP cost or something.

That would be better but stuck in some sort of minor communication magic. I think anyone getting that as a matrix power would - and should - feel ripped off.

So we could add a line saying that those things don't work. Or better yet, make it willing targets only. Either side can instantly and effortlessly sever the connection if anyone tries any shady shit, or insults their mother, or what have you. |
