Also, Glenn, I'm not sure if you're aware when you purchased the new "parking spot", but that will only last until [the end of the season]. You may wish to extend it along with the food, power etc package. It is known. We bought insurance (35k), moved it to a parking spot in a less problematic neighborhood, at [123 fake street] which is paid up in advance until [thru the end of the season] (10k). We also paid the utilities in advance until [thru the end of the season]. Shouldn't be a problem to make it over there before then. No point paying it too far in advance.

Quick update: the people in Guri DON'T EVEN FUCKING EAT THE CHICKENS that we've been bringing them. They keep them as pets. In fact, they are repulsed by the idea of eating them when we brought it up. The only type of food that they eat is the goo with different flavourings, so we're not even sure that bringing them some "real" food will go over too well as they may just get food poisoning and hate us.
Also, we don't know when, but the rock will eventually get pulled into the sun. Especially since Zeer is being mined out of the rock by the corp, which I think is how they stay afloat. So… Not too sure if it's a good idea to get too attached to that place as it may disappear. Still, for now at least, it's okay.
Ship still needs to be paid for, by the way. So… Yeah.
More on this later.

Sounds like you need to be in the pet supply business, mate.

It seems to be more of a novelty/fad. People aren't actively looking for pets. "Hey look, a live animal! I'll take that as a pet. EAT IT? YOU MONSTER!" sort of thing.

It's a novelty you can keep cashing in on until they crash into the sun. You know how much money people spend on pets annually? Me neither! But I reckon it's a fortune.
What are they feeding those chickens, anyway? There's this stuff called Chicken Crack you can get in Shermer.
And try dogs, mate. They eat heaps of kibble and you'll be the supplier, of course.

I plan to pay for the parking spot, etc, [through the end of season 7] the next time I am in Guri. Last I checked, there were still surveillance drones keeping an eye on it though. One of us should get a bounty license and see which of you rakes are wanted and what you are accused of. It will probably be easier to turn you in and pay the fine or whatever rather than have the authorities harass the ship.

I don't think we're actually wanted for anything. They are just surveying us because what was overheard sounded suspicious. If they wanted us arrested, I believe they would have done so immediately.

Rock and Aeoulus, Glenn has paid off the fine/bounty that was on you for seditious talk.

Seditious? The police have no idea what they heard then. It was hardly seditious.
In any event, thank you! How much was it? I'll work on repaying my share.

I don't think we're actually wanted for anything. They are just surveying us because what was overheard sounded suspicious. If they wanted us arrested, I believe they would have done so immediately. We had just hung around outside last time and noticed the ship was under constant surveillance. Today we just walked right in. Two "police" officers and a strike team showed up within minutes and knocked on the hatch. When we didn't open up immediately, they started planting explosives to blow the hatch. So we opened up. They took us off the ship and grilled us about Freddy and Rock's whereabouts. They searched the ship during this time. Assume there are loads more bugs and trackers planted. We only found a few of them. After all this I decided to just pay your fines for you so that they would leave the ship alone. Freddy and Rock each owe me 1100 cred for that. I was quoted 70k cred to patch the hull breaches me and/or 166,750 cred to get it taken care of. (The corp tax will be up to 15% by the next time I'm there.) ... Also, Guri's buying price for chickens has gone down quite a bit and Beastkin's selling price has doubled.

Doc wasn't wanted as well? He always gets away with it… Sigh. Okay – I'll repay the 1100 credits once I acquire them.

Latest information dump. Enjoy.
- Nearest planet is 3 light years away, outside of the Airbelt. - Approximately 1/8 of the system has been mapped out (using a public star chart. Private ones may be more detailed). - A lot of people try to predict when the rock will sink into the sun but had fairly poor accuracy. -- When a rock begins to go down and people get nervous, there will always be one who flies off in their spaceship. -- Quite often they are followed by others soon after. -- Our rock is moderately safe. --- Vortex Corporation is doing a lot of mining which is accelerating the rate at which the rock will sink. ---- Zeer is what keeps the rocks afloat. -- Personal/privately owned rocks are generally the most stable as they don’t allow any mining on them. --- Super stable rocks with very high tax rates import Zeer in order to keep them up. - Ships are generally designed to travel about one or two light years. -- Anything more required special cryopods etc. - The furthest they normally go is the asteroid belt around the sun. -- For some reason there is sometimes water that they mine from it, as well as other things. - Once you leave the Rock there is a risk of pirates attacking you. - No idea where we are in relation to our own galaxy/solar system. - It seems that a lot of the education is done privately via computers and whatnot. -- There is “formal” education but that is owned by the Corporations and is generally for the corporations. - People like to keep trade lanes etc private to minimise pirate attacks. -- Usually guilds have their own trade lanes which they use to travel together. -- This includes corporations, who especially do not like to have their train lanes repeated. - Gunships are not allowed near Corporation rocks and are generally fired upon if they get too close. - When asked if they produce oxygen via machines, we were told no – we’re in the airbelt, as if it were obvious. -- Part of the Zoolp (sp?) Paradox. -- Named after Prof Zoolp of the Hassegan Institute for Geographical Research. --- “Things just happen. What the hell?” -- Is the reason why vegetation on newly found rocks grows on the top but once they have been colonised only grows on the bottom where the sun is. --- They do not know why this is - Zoolp Paradox. -- Some of the “nutters” believe it is evidence of forerunner technology. -- Water can sometimes be found floating in space. Sometimes it’s frozen, sometimes not. Zoolp Paradox! - You will fall off if you go on the bottom side of the rock unless you have something holding you there. -- There is gravity but it seems to work differently. Not sure what is up with that.
