Thinking that wouldn't work for a few reasons:
It's too close to see clearly. Unless you have a big ole helmet - if you do, less negatives for people taking called shots at it I suppose.
It would block out some peripheral vision or being able to see certain directions entirely.
I'd assume you'd want to use some sort of temporary glue (like bluetak) on it as tape over the front would count as 'covering it'.
It's a good thought but I can't see anyone pulling it off.

Meh. Easy enough work around.
Get a specially made helmet with 2 visors. The inside visor will be "up" and out of the way most of the time. You will stick your Trump to the inside of that visor (on the back of the Trump only, obviously) and when you're ready to use it, you'll just press a button to call the visor down in order for you to see.
Looking at a standard motorcycle helmet, it doesn't look like it would be too difficult to see a standard playing card if it's stuck to the inside of the visor.

It definitely needs to be a space suit helmet or like an old fashioned diving helmet. Lot's of room in those.
Since you turn your head inside them (the helmet doesn't turn with your head), you should be able to attach it far to the side. To the frame, not the actual glass/viewscreen.
Doublesided tape would do the trick. Or doing the thing where you tape the tape to itself in a loop to mimic doublesided tape.
