Would someone please explain why the corpse of Mildred has been left rotting away in the basement of the Golden Wattle? After the initial shock I'm pretty sure it's not the Mildred, just a Mildred.
Also to those that left the Harlequin body there to rot away, the smell was starting to be noticed upstairs so we cleaned it up.
Please think about what happens if you leave something to rot away, the consequences. If you wish to make use of it later, perhaps consider somewhere where there is suitable cold storage?

Uh… That's not technically Mildred. Mildred swapped bodies with her younger self. The one that's rotting away was the one that would put you in the field of flowers if you got near her. Kinley had put her in suspended animation – how is she rotting away? What happened?

That or I would say magic failing caused the spell to cease functioning as its an ongoing effect in a non-full magic zone." "Josha, we were hoping to lure more Harlequins in by leaving harlequin "Bait" as a trap, looks like our plan did not success, frowny face. We will be more.... considerate next time" *Static*

I would have figured that if the spell ended, she would have woken up… I feel like something else happened to her.

An impish voice speaks out.
"So, for those of you that are unaware, the body of Mildred in the GW basement has been mutilated. The heart was cut out, and recently, very recently. This has two major implications. One, someone in a black robe and hood gained access via the trump room, either via a trump of the room or some other means, either way this means the GW basement is no longer a secure location. Two, after extensive analysis of Mildred, (There's a whole lot of shit, but that is for a thread of its own.) we found out that her current body is rejecting her soul and rapidly decaying from inside. Unless we can retrieve her heart and find someway to transfer her essence from her current body to her old body, she is not long for this world. I managed to heal her old body up as much as I could, even tried to grow her a new heart. The spell went off, but for some reason it did not work, there are effects at play that are stopping the regrowth. There is some high magic on her body that is slowing the decay which seemed to kick in when I was healing the body, this is what I think allowed me to heal a dead body, but time is still against us. The body has been moved to another location, however I am unaware if Mildred wants that location as general knowledge, so I will let her reveal the location if she so wishes."

Think it's time we "broke" the Trump Arrival room and made new trumps for it just in case. I'll see to that. The person you described sounds a lot like the same person we saw who is in charge of the harlequins. I suspect she may have somehow gotten access to the area when you brought the harlequin down. Let's hope it was a trump and not some other crazy means. At least that we can control. I don't think it's a coincidence that this occurred right after the harlequin was brought in, so I'm having my doubts that it was a trump. Looks like we need to start actively hunting down this individual. I believe he/she is referred to as "M" or Malice (spelling/accurate pronunciation unknown). My guess? Mildred's heart is in the little void in Clem's that goes to that other zone. (Information here heroiccthulhu.proboards.com/thread/5327/harlequins-home-zone )

One, someone in a black robe and hood gained access via the trump room, either via a trump of the room or some other means Oh. Right. This made it sound like he may have come from the Trump room OR some other way. Never mind in that case. Trump it is. So the question is… How did he get access to that room in the first place? It takes a while for someone to paint a trump of the room – someone would have seen him doing that and at the very least asked who he was. He must have gained access to a trump and copied it. Did you at any point bring the harlequin into the Trump Arrival room? Maybe he has some way of seeing through the eyes of the harlequin and was able to make a trump that way. Or, if it's as you say someone working for "chaos Janus", then Janus may have been the one who supplied it to him. In which case now none of our bases are secure any more.

Something doesn't quite sit right with me with the whole "chaos Janus" having yet another underling doing her bidding. Why would she tell someone to go and do something which would directly harm Mildred? I thought Janus' whole motif was to keep us, and especially Mildred, safe. Unless that is what "order Janus" wants, and CJ (yes that's what I'm calling her from now on) just wants to destroy everything and rebuild it in her image, not caring about Mildred. In which case this is less of an order/chaos battle and more of a good/evil battle, which isn't how we know our universe to operate.
So, if CJ ordered this to happen, what's her motive? And, more interestingly, if it's NOT CJ, how and why did the hooded figure do what he did?

But I do believe that CJ is of chaos and does indeed want the destruction of these shadows, something I would say is very chaotic rather the evil. The ending of something is not inherently evil, just a state of being. What Mildred and her heart has to play in this? That’s a million dollar question.” *Static*

Why did Mildred transfer her consciousness to another body?
How was it done?
Is it possible that the new body had the chaos part of Janus within it to begin with? The whole creating fields of paper flowers etc is pretty chaotic. Could it be that's why it's rejecting Mildred as it's too full?

As for your third point, I was able to ascertain that these entities are attached to/part of Mildred's Soul and as such, move with it, like the soul shard did from her old body to her current one. Not sure when CJ entered the picture, could have been before, or as you said, already in her current body. I am pretty sure however, it will stay with her if she does indeed jump bodies again. I also do not believe the decay in her current body is caused by the other entities, it might not be helping, but I do not believe it is the sole cause. I see these entities as parasites, they will maybe feed a little over time, but ultimately they wish for their host to survive. What I got from my analysis is simply Mildred is not in her right body, and until she is, this will continue to happen." *Static*

I wonder if it is willing host versus unwilling host? Obed was willing to host me. Was the body Mildred is now in a willing vessel? If it was, then why haven't I had the same issues?

Mildred jumped bodies when we were trying to communicate with Janus and trying to discover certain things. She attempted to communicate with the other Mildred (the one whose body she's in right now) by meditating and whatnot, and before she even knew what was happening switched bodies. She woke up in the Cryopod in the sewers of disappointment and proceeded to break out of it. Alex was in fact with us when this transpired so I'm thinking all the alcohol has finally taken its toll on him.
When Doc and I did our initial assessment, we discovered that Janus split into three parts: one in the wall, one in Mildred, and one in Mildred's doppelgänger that was in the Cryopod. As such Joshua, it is entirely possible that your theory of CJ already being inside of "young Mildred" to be true, as she did not switch bodies until after Janus split. We did not sense any Pattern coming from the now-unconscious Mildred nor did we sense any "extra life" coming from the body like we did with "normal Mildred" prior to the body swap.
