Could you take them beyond the skull wall and kill them if they are affected by lesser magic? Why not cure disease/poison on all of them if it seemed to work? Joshua, We literally have no idea how many of them are there, could be hundreds for all we know, gathering and transporting that many animals to another zone or other side of the wall is a bloody logistical nightmare, not to mention we are not even sure that will work. As for the cure disease/poison, same problem as above and magic is still extremely hard to pull off in Beast-kin, so without a massive area of effect cure disease/poison, casting it individually hundreds of times is just not an option, hence we were trying to find a mundane/higher magic remedy, but to no bloody avail.

Try taking one of the possessed animals to a destroy magic zone such as Guri? I'd rather stay sober for a month than go to Guri.

Due to wibbly wobbly, timey wimey shenanigans, there should be more than 1 magic gold collar around, since our group apparently freed the demon in several different realities.

We have no idea where the other one is then. It's not at the embassy.
Some more information:
Tying a golden wire around one of the possessed animals' necks puts it into a type of stasis. It goes completely stiff. It requires no food or water, it doesn't breathe, etc, but it is still technically "alive" in that the daemon is still trapped inside. Tying the golden wire to any other part has a reduced effect – the creature slows down considerably, moving at a much slower pace, but the golden wire around the neck seems to have the most effect.
The animals react badly to salt and pentagrams, but other than making them uncomfortable, it doesn't seem to have much of an effect. We tried drawing a pentagram on the ground and encircling it with salt, but the animal seemed to just run right through it after a minor struggle, if that.
We do not believe having the animals ingest gold will have much effect. We stuck a gold coin up one of their rectums and other than making it very uncomfortable (probably due to the fact that it had a solid gold coin stuck up its ass) it didn't seem to have any effect, and rectal absorption is one of the quickest ways of getting things into the body. Feel free to try feeding or injecting them with liquid gold if you want to be certain of this.
We have instructed the local town, Bakersfield, to start rounding up as many of the possessed animals as possible, tying gold wires around their necks to keep them docile and to stick them in or near the barn. We have instructed some of the DORAs to do the same. They will also get the gold wire themselves so we don't need to worry about spending our own money for that. We have no other plans on how to deal with the animals other than that for now, so that is the next step.
I can also confirm that using the cure poison/disease spell does indeed destroy the daemonic spirits that are possessing the animals. They do not escape like they normally do when we simply kill an animal – nothing comes out of them, and the animal goes limp (as in the gold wire effect stops once the animal has been cured). We surmised that normal herbal remedies will not be enough to replicate the effects of the spell and that if we were to try and do something like that, we would need magical herbs and plants in order to do that. We have also confirmed that the animals have no traces of Pattern, Chaos or High Magic in them, but they do have some sort of a "broken effect" about them which none of us had the ability to analyse.

Taken care of.
We went to Burlington, got the big box of destruction out of the police station (yes, it's a "destruction" thing – we analysed it) with the might of Kinley, then Trump Gated it over to the barn and told the townsfolk (after a bit of "miscommunication") that it was a steam powered box of destruction. We then got a dozen DORAs to help guard it and told the others to continue hunting the animals down and putting gold wire around their necks, then just throw them into the box. No wispy daemon came out. The townsfolk are also helping as the DORAs agreed to help with supplying the gold wire.
Fucking Demons. Glad it's sorted now. They'll continue hunting them down until they are all gone.
