Here are a bunch of spells (some which have been used on PC's) that - if people like them and want to work on them - should be split up into individual threads:
IDEAS THAT NEED TO BE HAMMERED OUT
CHECK TO MAKE SURE SPELLS THAT SHOULD HAVE SANITY LOSS - UNDEAD BEYOTCH
Give yourself to death
Casting time: Instant (but must really want it) Range: Self Duration: Instant MP cost: 2mp
Description: Does a very messy d12 damage to everyone within 5m radius. Your body explodes becoming shrapnel. You die. If the people gathered around the guy who is going to blow up, don’t know the caster will explode, they don’t get to ‘dodge for half’.
HOW THE FUCK WOULD SOMEONE PRACTICE THIS?? Maybe combine it with ‘corpse bomb’ for the ‘what if they cast it on themselves when they’re still alive’?
Necromancy spell idea:
Control undead - three word command (max of three words). Defend me, follow me, etc.
Death aura
Gives ‘death’ flavor. Against living creatures this usually increases the damage one place - unless the creatures are ‘life’ creatures - then increases damage two places.
See through the ideas of the dead - skulls and such of things that were once alive, now dead can be necromantic cameras (no sound - lip reading)

Idea: Exorcism. Get rid of that nasty spirit inhabiting whoever.

Sense undead 100m?
Capture spirit (for ghosts, undead non-corporeal stuff) - really pisses it off.
Stick captured spirit into body? Note - this does NOT make you it's friend.
Banish - for demons and things not from this realm (disregard shadow stuff - you can't banish Amberites)
