Clutch
Casting time: 1rd Range: touch Duration: special MP cost: 4
Upon making a successful grapple roll you place your hand on the targets heart and chant. Target takes 1d4 dmg a round with a successful grapple roll. Each round you make your grapple roll the damage continues at 1d4. If you kill your target the heart bursts forth into your hand. (eat some san bitches, it’s clearly evil)
True Clutch Casting time: 1rd/ concentration Range: 10m Duration: until you stop making your concentration checks MP cost: 8 Chanting and making your hand into a claw as if you were crushing your opponents heart you cast this spell. Will vs Will you concentrate on crushing their heart doing 1d4 dmg a round. This paralyzes the target. If you kill your target the heart bursts forth into your hand. (eat some san bitches, it’s clearly evil)
I know... one spell per thread... I'm just assuming they are going to be shot down... shoot away sir...

So you're spending 4MP to do d4 every round AND you need to make a successful grapple?
I'm thinking that is a rough one - but I can see that you're working up to the next.
For both, we'd need a resistance roll and sanity loss.

4mp initially then you are "concentrating" by grappling. I think there's enough negatives that 4mp a round is far too expensive

You must first have a target grappled to cast this spell. You place your hand near the target's heart and chant. Target must make a opposed Will vs Will roll or else take d3 real damage and be paralyzed until your next turn. If this damage kills your target, the heart bursts forth into your hand. (Sanity roll d10/d4 vs human gore or gross out.) If the target escapes the grapple then the spell ends. If the target has no heart or is not alive, the spell fizzles.

That's actually not bad - anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Just so I understand how it would work.
R1: Grapple R2: (assuming still in grapple) Cast spell – Will VS Will. Success – d3 damage, "paralysed" (what does that do?) R3: Spend another 2 MP, Will VS Will. Success – d3 damage, still paralysed. R4: Etc

We should add in that if the target is already restrained (like in a big metal cage above a volcano) that no grapple roll need be done.

The main point of this spell (unless your target is already tied up) is really the paralyzing effect. One person casts it on the target and (assuming it is one of the things in the world - probably limited to humanoid, living, with a heart) that can be affected (and it fails it's wil vs wil) then it is paralyzed. And all of the other PC's beat upon it.

Then that would change the range to touch.

What does the "paralysed" condition do mechanically? What kind of bonuses/penalties?

What does the "paralysed" condition do mechanically? What kind of bonuses/penalties? GM: And roll for your will vs will as the evil priest makes a CLUTCHing motion with his hand! Freddy: I failed it. GM: Next round. Heroes are first, villains second. OK - Freddy, you'd failed your will roll so this round you do nothing! On to the villains' turn! Freddy: I'm doomed! GM: He continues making a clutching motion with his hand. Make a will vs will save! Freddy: I should have spent a hero point when he first cast this damned spell at me! GM: Maybe - how's that will vs will roll going? Freddy: I'm just going to opponent fails him with a hero point. I like having my character get a turn. GM: Doc Fulton looks disappointed.

Target must make a opposed Will vs Will roll or else take d3 real damage and be paralyzed until your next turn. If this damage kills your target, the heart bursts forth into your hand. (Sanity roll d4/d10 vs human gore or gross out for doing it, 1/d6 for witnessing it.) If the target escapes the grapple then the spell ends. If the target has no heart or is not alive, the spell fizzles.
While paralyzed, the target may take no actions.
Notes: If the target is already restrained (whether by your buddy or in a cage, etc) you don't need to make a grapple roll. This spell only works on humanoid creatures that are alive with a heart. There may be some exceptions, consult GM (who will tell you 'try it and see') for details. Either before the attack first lands or at any time during it, a Hero Point may be spent to end the torture.

Any bonuses to hit since they literally can't move? You get bonuses when someone is stunned. Or they have penalties. Can't remember.

Stunned is like after someone has been in a car accident or hit in the head. They can stagger around (free) or try to do stuff (-30%). Paralyzed is the next level up where you can't do jack. Maybe whimper in fear...
