We retrieved the barbershop pole from Burlington and did a bit of investigation on it. It has a faint trace of Trump on it – we were unsuccessful in detecting Pattern/Chaos.
We noticed that the red-and-white paints are "special". 2 different types, one for each colour. Not sure how or what exactly, but they are definitely no ordinary paints. The pole is made out of a very special type of wood which can only be found from The World Tree (one of the expert botanist DORAs told us this after we discovered that the wood was not ordinary).
We believe the pole is made from 3 different physical components. Not sure what the third component is or if the 2 different paints count as 2 separate components.
We left it securely locked up with the other pole in the embassy.

In legends, I believe the World Tree is an ash. It is definitely not typical ash. The World Tree hails from Norse mythology, so if you see anyone Norse, like Thor, ask them about it.

Was there a sea monkey Clem? Did it function underwater?

Yes, there was, but I was unable to communicate as I shape shifted some gills and I was underwater. Clem went into the back room and presumably disappeared after I removed the barbershop pole.

There is only one Barbers Pole at the embassy currently. Anyone know what happened to the other one?

There should be 2. We took the one from Burlington and left it there. Check that it wasn't misfiled.
[If the storage tab says 1, then I/Russ perhaps forgot to update it. Delete this part of my message once you've read it. We definitely left it there]

There was one left there when I took the second one to Burlington. (Freddy brought that one back as noted above.) The Joker attempted to steal the other one that one time, but we got it back.
So there should be two there unless someone took one and is carrying it around (or set it up somewhere) without telling us.

I suggest speaking with Elwin about it if it is still missing. We gave it to him to secure along with the other barbershop pole.

That is… suspicious. Elwin told us that only you and he would have access to the barbershop poles in the "secure" lock-up, and that once we placed it there we would not be able to get it out without your permission. What did the twins say when you questioned them? Does anyone else have access to that area besides Elwin?

We have figured out how to make the barbershop poles.
We first went to Clem to see if there were any commands we had not yet tried. After a bit of back and forth, with the help of Doc's amazing ability to make things work when he wants them to, we were able to ascertain the following:
You can put a password on Clem's. The password can be for incoming, outgoing or both. Simply saying something along the lines of "Clem. Set password for incoming and outgoing" should suffice, though you may have to fiddle with the exact wording if that does not work. This will prevent someone from going to/using the Clem without stating the password. We rebuilt the Clem's in the embassy and set a password for incoming and outgoing. The password is: A Dingo Ate Your Baby. To use it, simply go through the normal spiel as you would, except immediately after you state your destination, you must say the password. We have not password protected any of the other Clem's. We also do not know how one would reset an already-existing password. My assumption is "Clem. Reset password" after which you may be asked to enter the current password.
Clem's has certain admin only commands, such as "replicate barbershop pole" and "display control panel". Trying to access these will result in a warning. If you continue trying to access them, Clem will state that a nuclear bomb has been armed and then will begin beeping. To disarm this, simply state "Clem. Undo <whatever your last command was>".
Please note that performing any sort of commands with Clem is not easy. It's not the same as making technology in non-tech zones work. You will have to assert your "mojo" to get him to accept a command. Very difficult.
We spoke with Merlin (more on that in another post when I can be bothered) and he told us we needed some wood from the world tree, some of our blood and something pure. We then spoke with Ghostwheel and asked him if he would give us access to make more barbershop poles. He said that we already had everything we needed, except for the "pure" thing. Raslen gestured to his didgeridoo as being something pure and Ghostwheel accepted this answer, and provided Raslen with the ability to infuse the barbershop poles with the white paint if he performed an exceptional didgeridoo song each time he wanted to infuse one. So far he is the only person with this ability. Adding the blood to the barbershop pole is easy – just get some of your blood and paint it on in the same swirly pattern. The wood is also easy – just use some woodcrafting and shape it accordingly.
After Ghostwheel brought us back from the courts of chaos (Merlin referred to us as "one of your own" to Ghostwheel, reaffirming our suspicions that this is indeed Ghostwheel's shadow and we are somehow his creation/offspring) there was a limousine waiting for us. When it asked us where we wanted to head back to, I stated The World Tree. Amazingly this worked and we ended up in a very cold climate not too far from a gigantic tree being guarded by an equally gargantuan snake. We also received tarot cards. Magic is unlimited and the tech level is "Vikings or less" – anything higher simply doesn't work. I quickly trumped back to get the Santa suits so we wouldn't freeze to death and then returned. We asked the snake if we may take some of the wood and it asked us why. Doc convinced it that we had been helping to preserve the shadow we are in and that this would help us all in our cause. The snake agreed and told us we could take as much as we can carry in one go. Doc transformed into mega doc, picked up a giant tree-sized log and walked off. The snake seemed extremely irritated by this.
We quickly started chopping away at the log after trumping back to the embassy to get carpentry supplies. We didn't have much time as the snake seemed awfully pissed that Doc had "tricked" it into getting more than perhaps we should have. Eventually we came back with enough wood to create 37 barbershop poles, 10 of which Raslen took separately to store in his own storage space. The other 27 are securely locked away in the embassy.
Creating the barbershop pole: all 3 steps must be successfully completed per barbershop pole (carpentry, painting, didgeridoo/something pure (need permission from Ghostwheel for the purity thing)). They need not all be completed by the same person, nor do they need to be completed in quick succession. Should any of the steps fail, the barbershop pole is wasted.

Are you sure that is the password? I was told something slightly differently - "The Dingo ate your baby"
