This is my idea for storing things inside of Trumps. I think it's a pretty neat idea and makes Trumps a little bit less meh compared to some of the powers you get in Pattern/Logrus. Obviously it may be in need of refining/changing, but here's the general idea of it. Also note that I imagine this to be a fairly large tree as you may be able to tell by the name of the power.
Trump Store 1 - Level 1
Casting Time: Same as regular Trump
Range: 1m
Duration: Variable
MP Cost: 2
This skill allows you to "store" a small, paper towel sized item into a trump card. You may only create a Trump Store card during skill whoring. You must have easy access to the item and at least one hour of uninterrupted time to paint. When you successfully create the card (Art: Painting + this skill), the item's "signature" is coded into the card, and you may choose to store it in the card at the time of creation. In order to "call" the item back to you, you must concentrate on the card like you would a regular Trump (including all requirements needed to use it, except that you can be "in motion" and still use this, i.e. on a train) and then roll this skill. If you succeed, the item materialises in an unoccupied space (or in your hand, if it's free) within 1m of you. If you fail, nothing happens, but you may try again if you have the Magic Points. Fumbling causes both the card and the item to be irreversibly destroyed. While the item is out, the image of it on the card appears faded but still faintly visible. You can store it back into the card using the same procedure as you did when you called it out – you do not need to create a new card every time, but this is the ONLY item that you can store in the card.
The item must be a single, non-organic, non-magical "thing". It can be made out of several parts, such as a set of lock picks or a gun, but it cannot be something which is able to store other things, such as a pouch of coins (unless it's an empty pouch, but the moment you put something into it, the card becomes useless until you take the thing back out and return the pouch to normal). Ultimately it is down to the GM's discretion as to what can and can't be stored. While an item is stored in this way, it remains completely unchanged and is unaffected by any "ageing" or other such effects. The item remains in its own, unique extra-dimensional space "inside" the card.
At this level you can only have one Trump Store card, and that card will be unique to the specific item that's been coded into it. If the card is damaged or destroyed while the item is stored in it, then the card becomes useless and the item is destroyed. If the card is damaged or destroyed while the item is out, the item remains unaffected, but you must create a new card should you wish to store the item again. If the item is destroyed or is changed to the point where it is unrecognisable compared to the original (i.e. painting your black gun pink), the card becomes useless and a new one must be made. If you wish to create a new Trump Store card using this skill, you must destroy the one you have now (if you have one), otherwise you will find yourself unable to infuse the necessary Trump powers into it. This means that should you ever lose your Trump Store card and it is not damaged or destroyed, you will not be able to make another one using this skill until it is.
