I've never seen it come up in your game. And if it's temporary why do we need a spell to get rid of it? Surely there are other ways.

In my game, no. But how it is healed in other's games is not yet clear. Also, with a spell you can get rid of it faster.

Casting Time: 1 minute
Range: Self
Duration: Instantaneous
MP Cost: 4
Removes any temporary stat reduction (Willpower/Learn/Essence). This spell has no effect on permanent stat reduction such as from a card or death.
