How many adventures did it take (approximately) to gain 50 poz, would you guess?
100 poz?

I assume by "adventure" you mean "module" and not "game." You handed out 3 POZ per module, plus we could occasionally get them through cards (it's really hard to estimate this). I think modules were around 3-4 hours on average (with some being significantly longer).
My guess would be 50 POZ / 3 POZ/mod = 17 modules. 4 hours per modules means it takes about 68 hours of gaming to get 50 POZ.
Looking over old character sheets (dated about 6 months apart each, I seemed to "net" far fewer POZ than that, and held steady (+/- 2 POZ) at 36 POZ at any given time. I'd become more frugal as it went down and more generous in spending them as it went up.

Cool. That's about where I suspected it might be.
With Poz, I'm going to be doing something different and brutal this game.
What is the plan currently?
The players start with 10 poz.
After their poz passes 20, all extra poz go into a 'special pool' which are pretty much lost forever to the player.
However, interesting stuff will happen once the poz reaches certain pretty high levels. Permanent good stuff.
I'm setting these levels high enough that I think it is very possible that some people will never ever see them. I'm OK with that - they're not for everyone. Just those people who play a bunch and have great 'poz discipline'. (Yes, I realize that means if I ever play I'm not going to see these neat things. I am not a good player.)
Right now the levels in mind are 50/100/200.
Thinking that for the really freakish players that get through that 350 poz of suck, they can just do it again for different prizes. And again, etc. I might have the 'and again' ones get higher in price. Don't know. Still up in the air on that.
{Does this require the things be good? Not really. Think of it more as poz is being ruthlessly sucked out of you and someone left a gift basket at your door. You get the gift basket either way. Logan thinks they are nice gift baskets but others may say 'not worth that much'. Hence, yeah - poz are getting sucked out. But fruit basket!}
Will this mean PC's are more likely to die? Quite possibly - however, I've got that covered as well.
[Sorry to be mysterious. As Dr. Who's wife would say 'spoilers!' The mysterious bitch.]

So the players lose earned resources (POZ) and are given something that could positively or negatively impact them in return?

I would say conclusively that the impact is positive only.
It may not be as positive as the players want, but I am positive they are all positive - or at least potentially so if used correctly.
I'd say think of it as getting a spell or something every time you click one of those three marks.

And now the 'calm down Logan and give the non-rambling answer':
"Why no, Travis - they're all positive."

Too many variables to answer conclusively, different people have different play styles, spend Poz in different ways and value Poz cards in different ways (If you're keeping the deck). I don't have my old character sheets to hand but I will do later and I have/had one after every mission so I can see how many I spent/gained each mission (and the values change depending on who I was playing, Ulman only spent on Family or Life/Death things, Bazza spent on drinking and "wasteful fun" things).
Question, are the new happy fun Poz pools separate for each character? Or player? Or the Team?

Somehow I have lost all my Ulman records, disaster! But Gregory Hope played 18 missions and ended on 34 Poz and bought 2 Psychic powers and Bazza Moore played 5 missions and ended on 20 Poz.

The same happened with all my Doyle file (and all of my rpg files in general) last year. All gone... Thankfully I have quite a bit in hard copy.

Looking at Joshua's char sheets, it seemed to range from 0 to 5, with 5 being a rarity.
