Looking for a better 'random weather generation' webpage. Not a downloadable program. donjon.bin.sh/d20/weather/Above is the best I've found. The rest seem to be more lame, or 'look, here's some tables you can roll on because we're not clever enough to get the computer to do it for you' or 'idiots suggesting you use real life weather' (why would people be even looking for a random generator if they wanted to use that? It's a stupid answer to a real question) or broken links. Or, really, really useless weather generators. If anyone knows a better one than what I've linked (or than this one www.dwarvenautomata.com/random-weather-generator/ ) please let me know.

Neat - but I wouldn't mind something a bit more detailed. Something I can put what kind of environment they're in into it, have interesting and magical effects possible, etc. Also, I'm thinking the PC's wouldn't like to be chased by lightning one out of every six days.

I was thinking to roll a number die alongside for intensity.

Using real life weather is not too bad of a way of doing it if you want the weather to be semi realistic for the environment the PCs are in. eg PCs end up in the jungle in the middle of summer - look up the weather of Indonesia last summer and there you have the day/night temp, rain occurrences etc etc

That would only account for an Earth like climate though. e.g. if we were to be slipped into the Amazingly Lost dimension where the moon did not have a regular orbit weather should have been violently different but wasn't. How realistic does Logan want it?

If the weather was to be 'realistic', I wouldn't bother with it.
Realistic weather is dull weather - usually.
