Thanks to Doc Fullton for reminding me of this gem. I heartily recommend that everyone at least read the boxed text on page 91, for typical hand signals. I will totally be using those. Not the formation, but the halt, freeze and security signals, as well as the diagonal slash for danger area.
This is because you really need to be silent in some situations. It's a good skill to pick up.
