Generally, horses go at the pace of some guy walking. The advantage? You can carry lots more stuff. Especially if you have an extra horse. The disadvantage? You get to spend a couple hours every day tending to the horses. Yes, the horse can go faster in the short term but overall travel speeds - not that much greater than humans.
An interesting thing I found? Bikes. Bikes very basically double travel speed assuming roads. (But Logan what if it's all downhill? Shaddap.)
So if you have the right kind of terrain (ie roads) the bike is pretty super for man powered. You could theoretically haul stuff behind you (like many people do with their small kids) and you don't have to spend a couple hours tending to them every night. Disadvantage - hills, tunnel vision (assuming the roads are shit) and it's you that is doing all the pedaling. (Because fortunately the players are not forced to endure what their character does, nobody really gives a shit about the last one - I know.) Another disadvantage - no sneaking.
I would rule it is not possible to bicycle down a road and 'be sneaky'. Though if you want to not ring the bell so much...

Yes - like motorcycle but more effort required. There are literally people who ever learned to ride a bike as a kid. Guessing most PC's will fall into that area. Though at the speed you can get skills up and with how easy it is (get a bike, go do some stupid shit) to get a check in biking, I suspect it won't take them long to get up in it.
