Name: Triggered Effect Casting time: 12 rounds + cast time of spell being set on the trigger Range: Self Duration: Till dawn/sundown MP cost: 6+ spell being set on the trigger
Description: This allows the caster to make a very simple 'if/then' statement involving the spell being triggered.
If I take damage, then heal spell.
The trigger cannot take intent, misses, etc into account.
If I am attacked, then shield spell - is not a valid thing.
If I take damage If I touch water If I fart
Definite things must be specified.
Only one spell may be set to a triggered effect at a time.
Thoughts?

(I thought I wrote up something similar to this, but I guess it didn't get posted.)
I would add that it can only trigger spells on your person. No "If i take damage, zap them back" etc.

Cool - but I'm thinking there might be a better way to phrase it.
If effect (I take damage, or whatever) then spell (but it's not aimed).
In other words, you could have a 'when I take damage then cast lightning bolt' but it would not be useful other than special effect because without a target lightning bolt is just 'special effects' or some such.
Guess I'm just looking for a more elegant and encompassing phrasing.

"If I take damage, then heal spell" works but "If I am attacked, then shield spell" - is not a valid thing.

Nice.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this one?
