Name: Anti-Gravity Pulse Range: 10m Radius Casting Time: 1 Round MP Cost: 16 Duration: 1 Round
You release a large amount of energy drawn from an external source such as that of a car battery. All gravity within 10m of the source gets reversed and things begin "falling" upwards if they are not secured. If a person were to fall for 1 Round (6 seconds), they would travel approximately 175m. Gravity returns to normal afterwards.
[When I came up with the spell originally, I thought it would be something a bit more minor, but after doing a bit of research, I realised this could potentially kill a person who wasn't tethered, hence the high MP cost and probably putting this further up the tree. Perhaps something like limited antigravity boots would be better? Don't know.]
Edit: Maybe, instead of "reversing" gravity, it just turns it to 0G, so everything starts to float. Could lower the cost and increase the duration.

Hum. Let's wait on that. I can see it being way OP. I'm wanting really low powered stuff.

Falling damage for 175m is "don't bother rolling". (Actually it would be "crit a luck roll to survive")
So yeah, that's not happening.
Of course this assumes that "10m radius" means a cylinder that extends infinitely upward...when it should actually mean a 10m radius hemisphere. You fall up 10m, then kind of hover there at the edge, then fall back down.
That is still way too much falling damage though (d8+d10).
I could maybe see it as a 3m radius hemisphere though (d6 falling damage)...with a dexterity save to cling to something solid nearby if there are things nearby. You would also need to stipulate a max number of targets though, because Logan doesn't like AoE attack spells in radii.

Yeah, I think if this were to get added, it would probably just be "gravity gets turned off and you begin to float for x amount of time in a y area."
If the aoe thing is an issue, then just make it a single target ability instead. Any person/thing up to a certain size that isn't tethered can be affected, including yourself. If you used it on a person, they'll effectively need to "swim" through the air in order to get around or pull themselves along by grabbing onto things. And since there is far less resistance when trying to swim through the air, maybe make the "swimming" roll at a penalty and have only half speed or something.
Just ideas. Antigravity has often been a big thing in the tech sci-fi world and I think it would be neat to try and incorporate it somehow. Just need to figure out how.

You'd need wings or something similar to "swim" through air.

Yeah, probably not enough air resistance. I'm just trying to think how astronauts do it in space – that sort of thing.

Something like this might be better on the earth tree.
Something like an instant cast, reduce any falling damage over 25m to 8d12 instead of 'roll a 01 or die'.
