In 'first world countries' eventually privacy will be a thing of the past.
Hell even when I was working in the intelligence field back in the 80's, out at Ft. Huachuca (where I trained) they had a 'let's listen in on phones and cell phones and if our computers recognize the voice or certain words are said it gets flagged' thing. That was over three decades ago. Guessing they've ramped it up a bit in the meantime.
And facial recognition. People take selfies like they're getting paid for it. Get caught in one and when it is uploaded (often instantly) hey, your face got caught in there - maybe by mistake - and the program said "That's X!"
Now, they have your location.
And don't get me started on the upcoming 'augmented reality' stuff.
Unfortunately, regulating who can and cannot get this stuff laws are dull - that's why people don't vote on them. Like 'net neutrality' in the states.
Hence, it some unscrupulous business can sell your data (hint - they are all unscrupulous) they will. Fuck your privacy - there's money to be made!
So dump your phone, don't make any outbound calls without a voice modulator to anything but other burner phones and wear some things to subtly change the outlines of your face and be sure to wear reflective shades. The distance between your pupils is a marker. Stick to cash. Then maybe - just maybe they won't immediately find you.
