Can you choose to roll at half for blindness instead of -30? If so is it still a static 10 penalty reduction?

Good point. Perhaps we can just have it be a flat 10% less on any vision penalties.

it's super situational though... that's why it should be less. I honestly can't remeber the last time it even came up... the PC's walk around with multiple light sources all the time... it's most of our standard gear

Since it lasts for the entire combat round and can affect multiple different skills, I think 4 is fine. Most of the other spells I've seen that give a bonus to a skill are usually a one-off thing to one specific skill, so it makes sense for that to be only 2 MP. This lasts longer and covers several different skills to do with seeing, so 4 sounds reasonable.
Then again, I would probably be looking for a way to create light in that situation than to cast this spell. As Chris mentioned, it's a very situational thing, but from what I gather you like those things.
