Name: Haste
Casting time: 1 minute Range: Self Duration: 1 round or till sunup/sundown, whichever comes first. MP cost: 6 mp
Description: This stackable spell (you can cast it more than once upon yourself) allows you to have a modified haste effect. Though it will not allow you to go first, it will allow you a 'haste' effect on your round. The MP from this spell does not come back until the spell is used though you can have more than one of these effects 'loaded' at a time. Example: Someone who regenerates 1MP per round and has 20 MP normally puts three of these on themselves. Their total MP is stuck at 2 until they use an effect (or sunup/sundown happens) at which point they begin to regenerate MP. If they only used one of the effects, then their maximum MP is now 8. Cards, matrix powers etc will not get around this. The MP is gone until used or lost.

Alternatively, if people didn't like the stackable you don't get MP back, we could make it a more standard non-stack but you can only have one loaded but get MP back.

There is a card that sucks up MP or are you referring to a 'haste' card? I think there are also haste effects already in the 'matrix powers' as well.

Do you think a spell like this would get used? Would you rather have one haste bullet or as many as you have MP to load up but your MP doesn't come back till used?
Also, the haste card is still more powerful as you can go now - though the PC's usually don't.
Example: Villains first, heroes second. PC: Haste! Slap that bitch! Then the bad guy goes, then is normal PC turn.

You stack this 3 times. Your turn comes. Normal attack. Hasted attack 1. Hasted attack 2. Hasted attack 3. All of the hastes are from the same source (this spell).

No, this spell gives a 'haste effect' hence you cannot.

I don't really have much experience in combat so I can't really comment on how balanced/good this is. Seems okay to me.

6mp seems to be about the usual for a 'haste' effect. Eventually, there will be enough different effects and things demanding MP that the players will have to choose carefully - 'do I want this or this on me today'.
