From time to time, PC's get some items that they don't have the time, inclination or skill to figure out everything the items do. Or there are hidden properties that the GM has some stuff planned in the future. Maybe good, maybe not.
When the PC's have any of these sorts of item and want to 'toss them into a holding bin' (on the roll20 sheet so they can have it for example 'at the Australian Embassy' or some such), please be sure to make a note on there of 'where it came from'.
This ensures that "the magic remains".
Example: Ice Scythe, Ice tower, DIY MMO would tell Logan everything he needs to know.
If you just say "Ice scythe, no idea where it came from" if Logan can't quickly find it, he might say "Looks like it melted."
In conclusion, by keeping track of your magic items origins so Logan can find it might mean you get to keep your shit a little longer.
