In one of the sessions I listened to, Matt & Alex were going to use the Elevator roof hatch to drop in on the occupant. Logan said that elevators don't have hatches and it's the fiction of movies. This is incorrect. All elevators have a roof hatch and some, especially elevators in older building will have a side hatch. These are required by law to meet national safety standards and often referred to as "emergency exits". However these cannot be opened normally from the interior of the elevator as they tend to be bolted/secured on the outside. They are there to allow emergency services and so on access to the elevator. The false ceiling (drop ceiling) inside the elevator conceals them. www.nyc.gov/html/dob/downloads/bldgs_code/bcrs18.pdfschmelevator.wordpress.com/whats-on-an-elevator-car-top-besides-bruce-willis/(several potentially useful articles on the second link for rp purposes)

I guess a bolted closed door that nobody can get through is still technically a door...

Noted and that was an excellent video though I would like to stress that 'not all zones or shadows work like that even if they on the surface appear 'earth like'.'

Interesting that based on the picture, the "When the hatch is opened, it pulls the plug out of the socket, which interrupts the power to the elevator." safety feature looks like it would be easily disabled by cutting through the thin wire that connects the steel arm to the plug.
