[More info can be found here: heroiccthulhu.proboards.com/thread/5028/zone-updates I figured it would be best to make Burlington its own thread] The water is now roughly knee-deep. The grandfather clock has disappeared. We have no idea where or who took it. The library painting, which at the time was located near the grandfather clock, had signs of being dry humped on one end by a short individual (like a Dwarf or Smurf, that kind of size). The rain has not stopped. The zone is no longer resetting. Several of the inhabitants are dead due to starvation. The rest who are still alive are very malnourished. Burlington is fucked.

Now that the place is filling up with water, I've got a submarine parked at the lake you can use. If it hasn't been stolen.
I'm betting the grandfather clock was taken by the ice torque fucks and is probably in that tower.

I'm not sure if the submarine is in any usable condition. I don't know, I'm no expert on submarines. Plus if the water level ever gets deep enough that a submarine can be used, I get the feeling being in Burlington would be a really bad idea. Unless you bring some underwater breathing apparatus. There's plenty of small boats you can use though.
Note to the next group who goes to Burlington: Please retrieve the barbershop pole from Clem's.

Is this a, what day is this?

The clock has been returned. It appeared again after we located and walked The Pattern (more on that in another thread). Not sure if they are related, but considering the message we found on the wall spray-painted in red – "blood is the rose of mysterious union" – I am personally inclined to believe that the people from The Village, or someone associated with it, took the clock. For some reason.
All of the inhabitants are now dead. We do not know if they'll be reset now that the clock is back, did not get a chance to investigate further. I feel it may be time to call the MIBs.
I took the barbershop pole out.
Water levels still rising.

Oh. That's also part of the lyrics? Interesting. That reminded me – there was also a message spray-painted on the doors (heh) of the bank that read "there's blood on the streets, it's up to my knee". No doubt they were referencing the fact that the water levels were rising. I wonder what they are getting at.

How did you determine walking the Pattern would bring the clock back?

We didn't. It just appeared coincidently. Right after we returned to Burlington from the village after finding/walking the pattern, there it was, with fairly fresh spray paint on the walls. We just assumed it had something to do with it. Might not. Who knows.
