Each magical item is part of its own unique magical school. You'll need to practice your ability to activate said school in order to use the item. The item's activation typically lasts until sunup/sundown before it needs to be activated again. It works similar to spells in that it uses some of your own magical mojo to activate. Lastly, once the magical item expires <at the end of the season> it no longer functions and you need to get another one.
Combat: Ring of Element (1600 BN)
Curative: Cock Ring of Infertility (800 BN); Slap-patch (one-time use healing).
Clairvoyance: Goggles and sunglasses of seeing in the dark (2400 BN); scry glass (spy on someone you know intimately or have a piece of (hair, fingernail, blood, etc) as a close-up shot without sound or any surroundings, 2400 BN); short wand of poison detection (800 BN); warding stones (place them about the camp. Anything going in or out the size of a cat or larger causes them to begin wailing loudly, scaring the shit out of everyone); goggles of find-where-you’ve-been (allows you to get back to where you were by backtracking your tracks, 1600 BN);
Communication: linked books; box of screams; 5 linked dowsing rods (when activated, it causes the rod to pull faintly in the direction of the next closest one, 800 BN)
Concealment: hood of shadow; anti-scrying medallion;
Conveyance: Cars, vans and motorcycles that don’t fly as well as those that do fly (nonflying motorcycle is 800 BN); Semitruck (not modern, but with weird clockwork technology etc) that doesn’t fly and a semitruck that does.
Construction: hat of umbrella; “shield” (protects against damage from magical and human propelled projectiles up to a certain threshold, then they need to be recharged by the seller, 2400 BN); Self mending & self cleaning clothing; make an item unbreakable (this is a service they offer (anything of monstrous strength or magic can still break it), only works while active (sunup/sundown) and then needs to be reactivated, 2400 BN); cloaks of drama & dramatic clothing; clothing that changes colour; jumpsuit that functions as cold weather gear; instant clean self (sold in amulets, rings, belt buckles, etc); specialised crafting tools for very specific crafts (such as painting (makes whatever you craft/create better quality), 2400 BN);
Conjuration: ever-full water bag; ever-full bag of pudding; ever-light stones; backpacks or bags of holding (think of what you want to get out and then pull it out, unknown container limit. Anything inside disappears when the magic item stops working <end of the season>, 2400 BN); dispenser which keeps putting out the same item over and over again (size of a tennis ball or smaller, price depends on the item, it is not an exact replica); ring of zippo (800 BN); stones of cooling; ever-burning pipe (1600 BN); ever-wet paint pallet (pallet itself is made of thin, breakable wood, 1600 BN); temporary tent (folds down to the size of a bandanna, 800 BN)
