- Part spider, part human.
- Trade and Sail/travel across multiple dimensions/zones/shadow worlds
- Part of the Golden Cycle Trading Agreement (A group of kingdoms/places that have the right to trade to Amber and who have trade routes to Amber I believe)
- Their home, Needleweb (I think that's what it is called) can be accessed via several zones. eg in MMO land, travel past the Vengence Mountains, to the Unnamed Desert and from there to NeedleWeb
- Humans are rare at Needleweb. You blend in better if you look like a Monster. There are various Monstrous races there.
- Some of them recognise Chaos Lords and view them with respect and fear. (I changed into my Chaos form and found it much easier to deal with them in Needleweb. The believed my companions, Mildred & Aeolous were my slaves. While Mildred and I had no issue with them, at the time Aeolous's mind was fragile and he had a hard time coping.)
- Their ships dock in some of the other zones we have been to, eg Gothic San Angeles and the port near Melwix (can't recall the Port's name there, not been there). In these sort of ports they have a human or someone that looks like a human as their representative and stay hidden.
- Doc Fulton, The Rock and I booked passage with them in Gothic San Angeles and 'sailed' to Amber with them (took several weeks. Not all the Dryders know the route).
- Their weakness is Kahlua. They love the stuff, can't get enough of it. Quite useful in smoothing the way and trading with them.
Edit: - Spider silk cloth. I don't know if anyone has looked into this as yet. Remember hearing about it (from Doc Fulton). With the right tailor could be quite useful. Very strong material. Strong enough to be armour. Not sure if as strong as magic armour. So could make a shirt for example out of it and you could be stylish as well as giving combat protection. Useful for desert conditions as well, as chain, bullet proof vests etc not particularly comfortable.
