You get a quick glimpse of where every being is that has ‘life force’. This gives the general direction only (to your left, right, front or back).
Hide emotion (aka anti truth sayer)
Casting time: 1 rnd
Range: self
Duration: Till sun up or sundown
MP cost: 6mp
This allows the caster to use their Acting skill to help mask their answers while they are lying under the effects of a truth sayer. Against non-magical means, any empathy checks just get the answer “You’re unsure.” “But it was a crit!” “Tricky.”
Truth sayer (compel truth? Can keep silent or tell partial truths?)
Casting time: 1 hour ceremony involving bells, incense, etc.
Range: 5m
Duration: 1 hour
MP cost: 6mp
The target does a willpower vs willpower with the caster.
Fumble: Target volunteers as much truthful information as they can remember. If it is a PC, the GM will have them spit out damaging and self incriminating things even if unasked for. When those run out, the target may start bringing up past misdeeds.
Fail: Target gets to answer every question promptly and completely.
Success: Target must either answer promptly and completely or may choose to remain silent going through a lot of pain. No HP of damage are given but the target suffers in silence.
Critical: Though the target must answer honestly, they may tell things which can be misinterpreted. (Note if the target is not clever enough to figure out how to do that, they are just fucked.)
